Terms of Service

1. The service

AnalysisToolBox provides browser-based interactive tools for structured analytic techniques, documentation for the open-source analysistoolboxPython library, and a paid subscription (“Pro”) that unlocks additional export formats. By using the site or purchasing a subscription you agree to these terms.

2. Free tier and your data

The interactive tools are free to use without an account. Your tool data (analyses, matrices, versions) is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to us, except transiently when you request an export, in which case the content you export is sent to our export service to generate the file and is not retained after the export completes.

3. Pro subscriptions and billing

• Pro is offered as a monthly ($8.99/month, with a discounted first month when advertised) or annual ($84.99/year) subscription. Prices are in USD and may change with notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
• You can cancel anytime through the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; Pro remains active until the end of the period already paid for. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable — if something went wrong with a purchase, contact us and we’ll make it right.
• Your Pro license is issued as a key held by your browser. It is for individual use: you may use it across your own devices, but not share it. Team and institutional licensing are available separately.

4. Acceptable use

You may not abuse, disrupt, or attempt to circumvent the payment or entitlement mechanisms of the service, resell exports as a service, or use the service in violation of applicable law. We may suspend access that violates these terms.

5. Intellectual property

The content you create with the tools is yours, including exported documents. The site, tool designs, and documentation are ours. The analysistoolbox Python library is licensed separately under its open-source license.

6. Disclaimers

The tools support structured analysis; they do not perform it. You are responsible for the judgments, conclusions, and decisions you or your organization make using them. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
